Greetings-
Attached you will
find the minutes for the Welcome Picnic our club hosted for the 09's and
their families.
We had a great time with
around 50 people in attendance. Mother nature gave us a scare earlier
in the weekend with rain and flooding, but we were blessed with a sunny, if somewhat
windy day.
The club has sent off cards
to each 09 encouraging them to hang in there during Beast. Thanks to
all of the parents at the picnic who signed them.
Since the picnic we
have added one more 09 to our club roster. Sammer Dia,
a Prep School graduate, son of Kim and Ahmad Dia from Olathe. I know all of you will
want to give them a big "Army" welcome!!
Our next planned social will
be on Friday night, September 23, 2005. We will have a tailgate party,
as Army football will be hosting Iowa State. I know that you all will want
to come see Army get a win over Iowa. Information will follow later
in the summer, but for now mark your calendar.
Have a great summer, and for
you 09 families remember A-day will be here before you know it.
Oh and by the way any 08's
who are planning on making the trip to Ft. Knox please be sure and take pictures to
share with the others.
