The New Cadet Picnic will be held in recognition of the Houston area
cadet candidates selected to attend West Point, the United States
Military Academy Preparatory School (USMAPS) or to participate in the Association of
Graduates (AOG) Civilian Scholarship Program. Members of the
Military Academy Admission Representatives (MAARs), West Point Society of
Greater Houston, and the West Point Parents Club, are sponsoring this
event.
The picnic will be held at Northshore Park in
The Woodlands on Saturday, June 9, 2007, from 11:00 a.m.
to 3:00 p.m. Hot dogs and
hamburgers will be provided. The park is a beautiful facility and
has excellent picnic and athletic facilities (including volleyball), so
be prepared to have fun. Also, you may want to bring lawn chairs.

Directions to the park are as follows:

take I-45 North to The Woodlands; |

take Robinson Road/Woodlands Parkway Exit and go West on
Woodlands Parkway for approximately 3 miles; and

turn right (North) at the
intersection of Woodlands Parkway |

and East Panther Creek Dr., and go
approximately 1 mile to the Lake Woodlands intersection; turn right on
Lake Woodlands and proceed to Northshore Park on the right. |
