Reservations - Ticket Price:

Tickets are $45 per person before December 1st or $50 per person after December 1st.  A ticket must be purchased for each Cadet or Mid.  Checks, money orders, or cash will be accepted and should be mailed along with the completed RSVP card to:

For your convenience, a pre-addressed return envelope has been included with your invitation packet.

 
 

Cadets / Mids are encouraged to bring guests including all family members, dates, friends, neighbors, and acquaintances. 

 
 

1,000 tickets will be sold on a first come, first serve basis and only to people invited to the Twentieth Annual Service Academies Ball.  All reservations are final -- no refunds will be made.  Every effort will be made to accommodate your seating preference for tables of 10.

 
     
 

Hotel Accommodations:

Rooms may be reserved by calling The Woodlands Marriot Reservations Department at (281) 367-9797 and requesting the Joint Military Ball Guestrooms Party at The Woodlands Marriott, 1601 Lake Robbins Drive, The Woodlands, TX 77380.  The Woodlands Marriott is offering a special rate for the "Ball" of $69 plus tax for a block of 100 rooms.  Reservations should be made by December 5, 2005.

 
     
 

Parking:

Valet parking for the evening is $9 and overnight valet parking is $11.  The South parking garage is complimentary with an air conditioned walk way to the Marriott.

 
     
 

Reservations and Check-In:

No tickets will be mailed.  Please report to your designated Academy for your seating assignment.  At check-in, information will be provided regarding "Ball" photographs to be taken by Steve Tarver Photography.  Please have your Cadet / Mid report to Check-In to receive their cash prize.  Coast Guard and Merchant Marine attendees should check-in at the Naval Academy.

 
     
 

Dress Attire:

Cadets / Mids are to wear their mess dress.  If their mess dress has not been issued, they can either borrow a mess dress uniform or wear their service dress uniform.  USMA cadets are to wear gray over white mess dress.

Remind you Cadet / Mid to bring all necessary ribbons, shoulder boards, etc., to be in uniform compliance for the evening.

Cadets / Mids need to report by 6:15 PM in uniform for the March-In and the Academy group pictures.  After the March-In, ladies may change into gowns if they wish.  A dressing room will be provided to hang gowns.

Military guests are requested to wear service uniforms.

Civilian men are requested to wear either formal black tie attire or a dark business suit.

Civilian women are requested to wear either a full-length formal or an appropriate evening dress.

 
     
 

Master of Ceremonies and Music:

Returning by popular demand will be Master of Ceremonies Lance Roberts and DJ Paul P. Olsen.  All types of music will be played and requests will be gladly taken.  Expect a grand time with line dancing, family fun, mixers and romance on the agenda.

 
     
 

Photographer:

Also returning will be Photographers Steve and Sandy Tarver to take formal pictures during the "Ball" from 6 PM - 11 PM.  Order forms will be available at Check-In.  You can also download an order form by clicking on the following button:  "Ball" Photos

Preserve the memory of your Cadet / Mid in uniform with a family portrait.  Remember your Academy friends by purchasing the Academy Group photographs taken prior to the March-In.

 
     
 

"Ball" Ambiance:

The Military Ball will be fun, elegant, and memorable.  There will be music all evening, fun visual displays, quality prizes, a raffle for a Russian jet plane ride, and a magnificent silent auction.

For Cadets / Mids in uniform free soft drinks will be provided.

 
     
 

The Meal:

The fabulous meal is a seated formal dinner affair with each ten-person table served by two waiters.

Regarding seating assignments, if you wish to be seated with friends, please indicate this by putting their names on your return RSVP cards.  Every effort will be made to honor seating requests but it cannot be guaranteed.  You will receive your table number at the Check-In table.  If you do not request a specific seating assignment you will have the opportunity to meet new people.

 
     
 

The Silent Auction:

Numerous items will be auctioned off and you are sure to find something you just "have to have".  Bring your checkbook for the silent auction and expect to be impressed with the variety of items available for auction.

 
     
 

Final Thoughts:

We remind you to bring your checkbook to pay for photos and auction items.  You will need cash for the valet parking and the cash-bar.  We cannot accept credit cards.
