West Point Parents Club of AlaskaWP Crest

Welcome

Washington Hall

to the West Point Parents Club of Alaska web site. The Alaskans who are part of the "Long Gray Line" are young men and women who represent our state and our country with valor and honor. We are proud of them and their dedication to our country and to the Army values they strive to uphold as they prepare to become officers in the United States Army where they will lead America's sons and daughters.

Our purpose is to encourage and support the cadets and their families, as they progress through the United States Military Academy. We also have support information that will help prospective cadet candidates as they consider attending the United States Military Academy.

A Soldier's Creed and Warrior's Ethos

I am an American Soldier.
I am a Warrior and a member of a team.
I serve the people of the United States and live the Army Values.

I will always place the mission first.
I will never accept defeat.
I will never quit.
I will never leave a fallen comrade.

I am disciplined, physically and mentally tough, trained and proficient in my Warrior tasks and drills.
I always maintain my arms, my equipment and myself.
I am an expert and I am a professional.
I stand ready to deploy, engage, and destroy the enemies of the United States of America in close combat.
I am a guardian of freedom and the American way of life.
I am an American Soldier.
