CBS Local Department of Defense Spent $504816 on Viagra in 2014

Cardinal Health Inc., a pharmaceutical company in Dublin, Ohio  generated more than half a million dollars in revenue from orders made by the Department of Defense for the erectile dysfunction drug, Viagra.

According to Fox News, $504,816 was spent for the drug in 2014, in addition to almost $20,000 being spent on other erectile dysfunction drugs, including Levitra and Cialis. Viagra relaxes muscles and increases blood flow to areas of the body to treat erectile dysfunction.

The DOD agreed to 60 contracts with the company for these drugs, filing them under “Troop Support.”
