On behalf of all WP-ORG volunteers and the Board of Advisors I am happy to report that FD33 has been successfully completed and WP-ORG's operations are now funded for the next six months.

An Army cadet who left West Point Academy just months shy of his graduation to make a high-profile protest of religious proselytizing at the school now faces Pentagon demands that he repay the cost of his education — either through active-duty service or by paying as much as $250,000. The notification this week that he would be hit up for the fees blindsided Blake Page, 24, who says that top leadership at West Point assured him that "recoupment" of costs for his taxpayer-funded education would be waived when he left the school in December.

Americans for Limited Government today urged a House subcommittee to defund the West Point Combating Terrorism Center (CTC) after it released a study on terrorism that Wilson said is targeted against regular Americans. “Not one more dime of taxpayer money should be wasted on CTC, which is indoctrinating our servicemen and women with brazen propaganda against the American people until this report is denounced and its author terminated from government service,” Wilson wrote in his letter to members of the House Appropriations Defense Subcommittee. The report, “Challengers from the Sidelines: Understanding America’s Violent Far-Right,” by Dr. Arie Perliger, director of terrorism studies at the CTC, was published on Jan. 15.

Beat Navy! An Army football player is not required – at least not yet – to have this invocation tattoed on his chest, but from the first day of spring practice it is recited like a mantra. Go Army, Beat Navy. And after having defeated Air Force last week, such a victory would carry with it an added bonus – the Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy, awarded to the service academy with the best record against its peers. The problem? The Black Knights have two games to play before taking on the Midshipmen, including Saturday’s game against Rutgers. And no one is more manic obsessive than Army coach Rich Ellerson about taking one play, much less one game, at a time.

The U.S. Military Academy is hosting a two-day conference that it says will explore best practices and approaches for harnessing "the talent that exists in culturally diverse organizations." The USMA's Diversity Leadership Council, along with the Association of Graduates, will host the 13th annual Diversity Leadership Conference from Oct. 3-4 at Eisenhower Hall. This year's theme is "Diversity: Your Road to Readiness."
