Mr. Christensen is preparing another Troop 23 T-shirt order, so look
for a list tonight if you would like an official Troop t-shirt.
Short-sleeve versions are $10 each, and we recommend that each Scout have at least one.
WED, 30 MAY: Court of Honor. 6:30-8:00 PM. 144 Thayer Hall
(History Department Auditorium). Set-up begins at 6:00.
Patrol Leaders have decided who is bringing snacks, drinks, and ice
(NOTE: NO food and drinks are allowed in Thayer 144! They have to
stay out in the hallway.) Wear your full Class A uniform and be
recognized for all your hard work and achievements so far this
year! We will also have a guest speaker from Hudson Valley
Council to tell us about the “Friends of Scouting”
program. “Friends of Scouting” solicits monetary
contributions from the families who have Scouts to help fund the
Council. Participation is strictly voluntary, and the Hudson
Valley Council has set a suggested giving goal at $20 per Scout, with
recognition patches for that amount and an additional one for
contributions above that. More details will be given at
tonight’s meeting.
FRI-SUN, JUNE 1-3: Order of the Arrow Ordeal Weekend, Camp
Nooteeming. Newly elected OA candidates have already been
contacted directly by Nacha Nimat Lodge with details. If you wish
to register, go to http://nachanimat.ord/ for the form and points of
contact.
SAT, JUNE 2, Tom Gilewitch’s Eagle Court of Honor. 11:00
AM, Cullum Hall (across from the baseball diamond). All Scouts
are invited (remember to let the Gilewitch family know you are coming),
but especially Eagles! Please come in full uniform to help
recognize and honor our newest Eagle Scout!
WED, 6 JUNE: Troop Meeting, 7:00 PM at the Scout Hut. We will
begin working on the three Citizenship Merit Badges. Bring pens
and pencils. We will pass out worksheets at this meeting.
SAT, 9 JUNE: Merit Badge Fair for Citizenship in the Community, Nation,
and World! Meet in the basement classrooms of Lincoln Hall
(across from the baseball diamond) at 9:00 AM and bring a sack lunch,
paper, pencils, and worksheets. We should be finished by 1:00 PM.
WED, 13 JUNE: Patrol Leader’s Council and Board of Review, 7:00 PM at the Scout Hut.

SUN, 15 JULY – SUN, 22 JULY: Camp Aquehonga! Meet at
the Scout Hut by 11:00 AM. We leave at 12:00 Noon! Wear
your Troop t-shirt and swim trunks, bring a hat, water bottle and sack
lunch.
