The posters and prints for the 2012 game are packaged and ready to be delivered to your home ! In 2 months from Game Day, we have processed nearly one thousand orders with over 1500 pieces to be delivered across the US and the globe. To Jack Price who handles all our monies... it makes me feel a lot better knowing that we have a professional maintaining the audit trail. He's also a bit camera shy, but the image that he chose reflects his diligence in ensuring that every penny is accounted for... To our Navy Moms - Kim Duffey, and Amy Martin who joined us this year. Our biggest challenge is reaching all the Navy parents to make them aware of the project. They post on the Navy parent forum and the Parents Facebook pages to help spread the word and share the opportunity !
Since 2008, all of your posters have been printed by this team in North Carolina... thanks Drew Bacot, Don Bean, and Paul Fetter. While we are a very small job in their overall business, they know exactly what we are trying to do and have gone FAR out of their way to ensure we have posters that you love. They believe it's more than ink on paper ! To the Benjamin Franklin Scholars from NC State University who have graciously supported us since 2006... here's Tyler and Rachael Barker who connected the Franklins to our effort and have personally participated every year: And here are the Franklin volunteers plus a Marine OCS candidate from NC State who helped us today. "Go Pack !" Inspector K-9 had added help today from Inspector K-10. Their intensity is unrivaled. You may find one of their "inspection tags" - thin and black ! Finally, my wife Cheri whose patience is immeasurable as she freely admits "I don't have a husband for 2 months". Time to get re-acquainted and support her! As soon as all the production costs are completed and submitted, we will turn the proceeds over to Help Our Military Heroes (http://www.helpourmilitaryheroes.org/) and report the results. They are a 100% volunteer organization, experts at navigating the details to get the vets rolling, and we are confident of their stewardship. Stay tuned for a new van report "soon"... Snapping in over 1000 plastic end caps: The flat mailer assembly line in action: Flat mailers started near the window, where 3 stickers plus one stamp were applied before being "stuffed" by the packers. It's not all work and no play... the day started with home-baked "monkey bread" and lunch was "pulled pork tacos" with all the trimmings: The tubes and mailers are then moved to the garage, ready for pickup on Monday. Thankfully - NO snow... Inspector K-9 says it's been a great day... time to relax and take a nap ... we hope your poster arrives quickly and safely !
