Memorial Day 2009 at Epinal

The beautiful AWON wreath remembers 39 men by name, and
so many more who died in the cause of freedom.

Daniel Autugelle, our Epinal friend, looks over the many floral displays.
Daniel has been faithfully laying the AWON wreath for four years.

Superintendent Tom Cavaness opens the ceremony at Epinal.

AWON member Merrill Baker pays a visit to honor AWON Stateside Coordinator
Lil Holloway’s father, PFC William Reilly.

Brigadier General John Nicholson (U.S. Army Ret.), as Secretary of ABMC,
accepts the new McCormick Foundation carillon.

The carillon, in association with AMVETS, was dedicated “as a Living Memorial to America’s veterans
who made the Supreme Sacrifice for the cause of Freedom.

In Their Memory

Thanks to Epinal Stateside Coordinator Lil Holloway for the arrangements;
with thanks for the photos to Jerome Leclerc and Merrill Baker
and to Sharon Crowley Connor for special coordinations.
