20th Annual Reading Airshow and WWII Weekend

The AWON display was set up in the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum Hangar

Stewart "Rusty" Lerch and Board Member Norm Burkey talk to a visitor
about their fathers and the missions and values of AWON.

Lynne Lecrone, Rusty Lerch and AWON President Ed Peters
welcome visitors at the AWON table.

Ed Peters being interviewed by a local TV station reporter. The reporters were interviewing
WWII vets at nearby tables because it was D-Day. Lynne Lecrone made sure they knew
there was a war orphan at our table whose father was KIA on D-Day, so they agreed to talk with Ed.
The interview resulted in a few sentences on the 6 p.m. news, a quick shot of Ed's father
at the end of the 11 p.m. news, and NO mention of AWON, despite our best efforts.

Rusty Lerch, Norm Burkey and Jim Eaman. Jim is the Hangar Coordinator for the event.
Jim, along with Rusty and his wonderful family, see to it that the AWON display is set up,
runs smoothly and the volunteers are happy. They all do a great job every year.
