                I am a World War Two historian analyst and I have given many presentations dealing with WW2 prisoners of Japan.
                I am a veteran of service aboard a destroyer escort in both the Atlantic and Pacific, and my brother, Herman Davis, was captured at Tientsin.
                I am the Executive Director of the Destroyer Escort Historical Foundation and, in this capacity, brought back to this country a 1944 DE that is being restored to WW2 condition in Albany, NY.   I live in Long Island, NY and I travel to Albany about once a month, excluding the winter.

                I have been researching and collecting data on the Phil campaign (1941-2) since I was in Camp O'Donnell, where I was the Personnel Officer and later Adjutant.
                Have written three books, grant studies for USAMHI and USAFHA, numerous articles VFWand Retired Officer Magazines.   Editor, "History of Philippine Scouts".   Have been Guest Speaker/ Panelist at MacArthur, Nimitz and Truman Museums, as well as National POW Center, Andersonville.
                Am Historian, Philippine Scouts Heritage Society; Custodian, PS Collection, Ft Sam Houston Museum.   Currently finishing book on US Forces in Australia (1941-2).   Last work covers efforts to get relief to Philippines and coverage of FEAF units that were sent to Australia.
