"I am trying to find information about a member of our Fire Department who died as a prisoner of the Japanese.   Our local VFW Chapter (disbanded) was named in his honor Daniel C. Bain.

I'm sorry I don't have more information to go on, but living relatives are not available.   The only other information I have was that he died during the Bataan Death March.   We are trying to establish a memorial to him in our fire department social hall as he was the only member of the department killed during that war.   Any information of suggestions you can provide would be greatly appreciated."
