"My father, Gunnery Sgt Lloyd E. Crumpacker, USMC Retired was captured on Corregidor in May 1942.   He was at the Cavite Naval Shipyard, Mariveles Beach Defense.

He spent time at Bilibid, Cabanatuan, Camp #3 Nicholes Field and was in Omuta Camp #17 (Coal mine) for 16 months.   He worked on the air raid tunnels and at Fukuoka Camp #1 for airfield construction.   He was liberated from Moji and went through Nagisaki to be shipped out to the States via Okinawa and Guam.   He was treated at Oak Knoll Hospital in San Francisco.

Unfortunately my father has moved on to the great barracks in the sky!   He died in 1992 at the age of 72 and is buried at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, Point Loma, California.   I would like to correspond with anyone who knew my father.   I enclose a photo of him.

My deepest respects to all the men and women of the ADBC Organization.
      Thank you,
