Larry Clucas writes to say that he
". . . just found out about "The Quan" Magazine
after searching for information about Bataan for many years.
My uncle, Cleve Clucas, was
captured at Clark Field April 1942. I think he went through the march and was killed on a
POW ship that departed Davao on August 20, 1944 and was sunk on September 7, 1944 with 750 men on board.
Probably no survivors.
I would like to correspond with anyone with name of ship
or any
information about my uncle: Ship lists, survivors, etc."
Thanks,

Update: June 2000
I am now an associate member
(#7103) I have enjoyed the association since finding out about ADBC and
want to continue to support the organization.
We - my father and brother and I - planned to be at the convention in
Reno last month but my father had some physical problems. We are
making plans to attend the Shinyo Maru survivors reunion in Florida in
September. (Having learned that my Uncle died on that Hell Ship,
September 7, 1944). Is anyone aware of other relatives of Shinyo
casualities who may want to get together?
