"I am trying to gather information for my mother about her older brother,
William E. Hamby, Corporal, U. S. Army Air Forces, 19th Squadron, 20th Air Base Group.

According to the Army he is listed as missing in action or buried at sea with a date of death listed as July 12, 1942.   All the information anyone in the family was able to gather was that he was a prisoner of war held by the Japanese and that he had perished in the Bataan Death March.

It has always bothered my mom that she didn't really know what happend to him.   If anyone has any information on William Hamby from Oklahoma, we would appreciate your help.
