Steve Bull's Success Story
On 11 January 2000 I asked for
help in locating family information.
I was trying to learn what happened to
my father, Floyd J. Bull, Army Air Corps and
Cpl. Neal Ticer, my Mother's first husband
who died on the Arisan Maru.
Many thanks to especially Jim Kerns, Jim Brown, Ray Le Claire Makepeace,
Linda Goetz Holmes, Father Phillips, Fred Baldassarre and my Aunt Jolinda Bull Resa for all their help.
I'm sure I am leaving someone out and I apologize. Thru their efforts I have
traced my Dad, Floyd J. Bull, as being in the 698th Ordinance, the Death
March, the group that helped blow up gasoline at Clark, Camp O'Donnell,
Gapan
Bridge Detail, Cabanatuan, Bilibid, Fort McKinley, the Port Area, Nissyo Maru
and the lead mines at Kamioka, Japan.
Also thanks for finding that Cpl. Neal Ticer, 200th CAC/Battery E,
Serial #20843580, sailed to the Philippines on the Coolidge and was at Fort
Stotsenburg. He was later at the Port Area and went down with the Arisan
Maru. That is about all I have of Neal, my Mom received a telegram that he
had been a casualty before the Arisan Maru and never knew how he was
wounded.
I went thru my Mom's scrapbook and she has quite a few pictures of some
of the better days in the Philippines for both Dad and Neal if anyone
may be interested. Some of them have names of their friends on
them.

Thanks so much for all the help everyone has given me.
