My name is Mike Brock, my Uncle was
Lt. James Walter O'Brien,
US Army Chaplain (Catholic).

He died on 10-24-44 while a POW of the Japanese, when his POW ship was sunk by an American submarine.   I have information that he was awarded the Silver Star, but there are no official records to back this up.   All I have is a letter from his commanding officer, who is now deceased.
