My grandfather spent many years searching for his son, my uncle.
He received false leads and traveled many dead end roads. The
only information that the Army wanted to give my grandfather was in the
form of a death benefit check. My grandfather died
never knowing what happened to his oldest son.
I have picked up what pieces I can find but still have very little information. My uncle's name was Tom Reynolds,
(he could have been a Jr. or II).
He was born
in Southern Illinois around 1920. He was classified as MIA
(WWII) in the Pacific Theater in a "death march" (presumably Bataan).
He was in the Army although I know nothing of rank or division or
even date of entry. His body was never recovered. All my
grandfather was ever told was that he was "presumed" dead.
If you have ANY information, no matter how trivial or small,
or if you can give me other avenues to pursue, please e-mail me at

My family and I thank you!
