"I am looking for someone who may have known my Great Uncle, Seaman Woods Barlow who was assigned to the USS Canopus when it was scuttled.

He was taken prisoner at Corregidor and according to the Japanese he died from Beri Beri.   I would like to find someone who knew him and tell me what his job on board was.

I have a photo of him in his Navy Uniform at The Great Lakes Training Station.
He was 18.   He died when he was 20.

I will tell you this, I am 40 and I say my generation owes your generation everything."
