I have been trying for years to write an informed story of the Voice of Freedom and other radio stations  (like KZRH and KZRM)  that operated during the seige of Bataan and Corregidor.

The Voice of Freedom was  (as I understand it)  the brainchild of Manila journalist Carlos Romulo, who later went on to help establish the United Nations.   Its broadcasts were from Corregidor to the troops there and on Bataan, and was intended to try and bolster their morale.   I'm looking for information in two categories:
1)  any technical information about the station such as where the transmitter was located on Corregidor, the frequency the station operated on, etc.; and
2) recollections from anyone that remembers listening to the station, such as what the programs consisted of  (music, news, talks, etc.),  and how the broadcasts affected the troops.

Thanks again for your help, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
Jim Pogue
