"This is All Saints' Cathedral, one of the two churches in which I serve here in Cairo. It is near the downtown area in a section named Zamalek on an island in the Nile River.
Behind the cathedral is the Marriott Hotel! Makes it easy to give instructions to the taxi driver."

It is a nice place with seating capacity of nearly one hundred. Some 17 other groups, such as Ma'adi Community Church, a French Protestant Church, Korean Church etc. also use the facilities.
You can see that Ma'adi has a lot of trees, foliage and grassy areas; very
atypical for Cairo. It is a favorite suburb for expatriates to live;
hence the effort to green it up."
"You can spot our apartment one flight up and on
the right of the entrance way. The apartment is quite large and decently
furnished; permanent occupants would want to personalize it to make it
their home.
There are three balconies and a large sort of porch; plenty of place to hang out clothes or put furniture for lounging. The master bedroom has two balconies, each with a double door, shutters and screens.
We use the screens on all of the balcony doors to keep out the stray
cats. They occasionally fight outside our windows but must get along
sometime; yesterday I came into the Sacristy to find one cat nursing two kittens whose eyes were still closed.
Life goes on!"
