Classmate Update
Posted on January 21st, 2008 by AlexStill catching up..
Sean Kilbride sent me a note — he’s doing well, as is his family. If you recall, the Kilbride may have had a family majority at West Point while we were there. His older sister was a firstie in my company, class of ‘95 if I recall. Something tells me there was one before her and one or two after Sean.
The Auggie Scicchitano family has been faithfully sending in updates that I’m just now catching up on. This one is still pretty old — hopefully I’ll get another one sometime soon:
How are you? Just wanted to send you a quick update on the Scicchitano clan.
I graduated from the University of Connecticut with my Masters in Education on 6 May and immediately started looking for jobs. After some searching of what I wanted to do, I accepted a position as a Field Sales Rep. with IDEXX Laboratories in Westbrook, Maine (just outside of Portland). I moved up here to Maine with my family in the middle of June and started my training with IDEXX. It’s a six month training period where I will learn about all of the products that IDEXX makes and sells, at which point I will then go to a territory in the U.S. (TBD) and start selling. IDEXX is the market leader in veterinary diagnostics and tests, selling products to veterinarians worldwide.
As for the family, my wife is 8 months pregnant with our third child (we have 23 month old twin boys), and the girl is due on 12 August. I’ll keep you posted when the new baby comes. Other than that, we are enjoying the Maine summer and trying to settle in up here.
Dave Roseland, one of my former company-mates from G2, dropped me a line fairly recently (within the past 6 months!). He left the Army after OIF 1 and enrolled in seminary. He’s since graduated and is pastoring at a church in rural Eastern Connecticut.
Kelly Keller (Fabin) sent me a short note promising an update in the near future. It sounds like she’s out of the Army and married with two kids (Haley, 2 and Noah, 8 months). She also mentioned that she recently went to an Army game with Rachel Seguin. I’m looking forward to another update from Kelly soon.
Dale Betz sent me a note in October indicating he was back from Iraq and looking at leaving the army in the near future. It sounds like he’s married and living somewhere in the vicinity of Olympia, WA.
That’s it for now. I’m almost caught up, and even have some actual new, timely updates from classmates to post.
