-- Chris Schwartzbauer writes an open letter to the President...

--Dan Albert makes the news.

-- John Nagl in the Atlantic

-- Some work done by Paul Maetzold out of Minnesota

-- Dan Rice (G-2) was recently awarded the Purple Heart Medal. Two classmates, John Vigna (G-2) and Bill Reed (G-4), were on hand for the awarding and pinning by Admiral Olson, commander of Special Operations.

-- Brian Mennes (A-4), new Battalion Commander 1/75 Rangers, continues to make news, after completing command in Afghanistan. I'm not sure what's classified and what's not, but, to be sure, he's kicking ass and instilling the warrior spirit in scores of young, inspired soldiers.

-- Greg Ebner (B-1) has been nominated as Deputy Head of the Department of Foreign Languanges and Professor USMA. So it looks like '88 will have at least one permanent fixture at USMA for decades to come.

==> Dave Kim's (D-4) organization, Children of Fallen Patriots, recently approached the quarter-million-dollar mark for donations. His group provides college scholarships to military kids who have lost a parent to combat in the GWOT. If you'd like to donate or learn more, the organization's website is www.fallenpatriots.org.
