Results of the reunion interest survey determined that the class preferred to be in close proximity to West Point more than staying all together in the same hotel, and preferred activities to be held at USMA. As such, all activities and events will be held at USMA (see tentative agenda). Unfortunately there are no hotels near West Point that can hold the entire class. We have contracts signed with five different hotels near West Point and the Westchester Mariott we have used in the past, all at various rates depending on hotel. These negotiated and limited rates are available on a first come, first serve basis. Although the number of rooms available at a reduced rate is limited, most of the hotels will gladly accept reservations for rooms at other published rates. We have also included links to other hotels in the area. However, we have not negotiated reduced reunion rates negotiated with those not specifically mentioned in the matrix below.
WEST POINT CLASS OF 1987 REUNION
Known Reservation and Cancellation Policies Hotel Thayer: At the time of reservation, one must provide a credit card number, the number of occupants per room, contact information, smoking or non-smoking preference, and any mobility or handicap assistance required. Your credit card will be charged a one night deposit at the time of reservation. Reservations must be canceled 7 days prior to the conference for a full refund of deposit. The Thayer Hotel accepts room reservations by telephone, fax or email. There is no website reservation process. The Hotel Thayer accepts telephone reservations 0830-1700 EST hours daily. Holiday Inn Express: At the time of reservation, one must provide a credit card number, the number of occupants per room, contact information, smoking or non-smoking preference, and any mobility or handicap assistance required. Your credit card will be charged a one night deposit at the time of reservation. Reservations must be canceled 2 days prior to the conference for a full refund of deposit. Other Hotels Additional hotel options in the vicinity of West Point are available at: http://www.aog.usma.edu/faq/hotels.htm The Five Star Inn located on New South Post outside Thayer Gate is available to active duty and retired military personnel, Air National Guard and Reserve personnel, family members of the above, and DoD and retired civilian employees who are eligible to use MWR facilities.
