We've added something new to WP-ORG, a CEO's BLOG (weB LOG). We recognize that messages sent to all 30,000 WP-ORG users can be intrusive so we reserve them for extremely pressing subjects and for fund raising. The BLOG is a way for me (and guests) to stay in touch with you on a less formal basis. There is no set frequency for posts or rigid framework for subject matter. It's more on the order of having a chat in the den.
The BLOG is also a good way for you to submit suggestions to WP-ORG by posting a comment. Each comment will be read and, if appropriate, will receive a response either privately or at the BLOG site. The BLOG is what's called "pull" technology, which means that you have to go to the site to find out if anything has been posted. If you'd like to be notified when something new has been posted, this can be accomplished by adding the BLOG site to your RSS feeds. If you're unfamiliar with RSS, your moderator should be able to square you away or you can read about feeds on the Internet, such as this site: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RSS_(file_format). So, come on out into the den, pull an easy chair over to the fire, and put your feet up: http://wporg.wordpress.com/ -- Dempsey |
