Classmates,
Fund raising is off to a good start, but we have a long way to go to get to $1 Million. The momentum from the reunion has generated $63,741 in gifts and pledges. Unfortunately this leaves us well short by over $800 K. and we are also well short of our 80% participation rate goal.
You have one week left to make a pledge of $1,000 or more which will qualify you for a chance to win a beautiful USMA crest stained glass window. While my wife is happy with our increased chances of winning, I would love to have some competition.
Please visit the class website to download a pledge form.
Our Country We Strengthen,
Jim Glackin

Classmates-
Please see the note below which summarizes a very successful program that the Class of 1968 is running to get donations to their class gift fund. Classmates basically pledge a gift to become a "virtual marcher." The cost to participate in the Grad Marchback is about $120; not sure if they have a minimum donation to be a virtual marcher.

This is an exciting time to be at West Point, and I am very honored to serve as your Vice President for Alumni Support. In recent years, our programs for graduates and cadets have steadily grown and matured. Your contributions have been essential to these enhancements. In the years ahead, I look forward to working with you to develop new ways to support alumni and encourage them to reconnect with West Point.

Classmates
While the memory of a spectacular reunion, capped off by a great come from behind win, is still fresh in your mind, please consider making a commitment to the $1 million gift the class will present at our 25th reunion. I have two goals for this gift: 1) reach the $1 million mark well before the reunion, and 2) achieve a class participation rate of 80% or higher in order to truly call this a class gift. Everyone’s participation is paramount.

I managed to make it to the class cocktail party on Thurs. night and it was great to see everyone. I wish I could have attended more of the reunion events, but decided not to since I was 9 months pregnant.
Scott and I are thrilled to announce the birth of Connor William Dahnke. He was born Oct. 8 at 3:15am, measured 20 1/2 inches and weighed 7lbs 10oz. Bryce, Ryan and Cailtyn are excited to have a baby brother.
