Subject: 1984 Beat Navy Run

Fellow '85 Classmates, I was recently going through my West Point stuff and I saw the briefing book and AAR for the 1984 Beat Navy Run, when our class ran a football from West Point to the field in Philadelphia. The Class of 1985 was the first to ever do it, and I think it is either still done each year or was done for many years. The Class of '85 developed, planned, and executed the run. When coordinating with USNA, the officers at Annapolis were surprised and shocked that cadets were running the operation at USMA. Anyhow, it was a huge success, and it is one of the many great things that the Class of '85 did during our 4 years at USMA. If any of the 36 classmates that ran a leg of the 145.5 route, or anyone else, would like a copy of the briefing book and AAR, just send your email address to me at grammelt@oz-online.net and I will email you a copy.
