1. What is your name? Scott Weliver
2. When did you get married? 1988 What is your spouse’s name? Devrie Lafreniere (’88)
3. How many kids do you have? 4 What are their ages? Casey (d, 16) (accepted to USMA 2012), Caleigh (d, 15), Andrew (s, 10) and Delanie (d, 9)
4. What types/how many pets do you have? – 1 dog - Buster
5. Where do you live now? Davie, FL
6. What was your favorite job in the military? Combat Engineer Company commander Why? autonomy
7. When you look back, was West Point the right choice for you? Yes
8. What was your worst job in the military? USMA IG Why? Many times I had to listening to the whining and crying of people who were trying to get over on the system
9. What was your proudest moment? There are too many to mention
10. Do you keep in contact with your friends from ’85? Yes
11. Who do you wish you were still in contact with? Paul Lasley, but I recently emailed him to regain contact
12. Do you follow Army sports? religiously
13. Have you been to a reunion? Yes, 10, 15 and 20
14. What was your favorite part of the reunion? Class dinner where you increase your chances of running into folks not in your company
15. Where were you stationed? Germany, Carson, Savannah, Atlanta, Bragg and West Point
16. Do you look the same as you did as a cadet? That what people tell me
17. Do you still have your Bugle Notes? YES
18. When did you get out of the Army? 2005
19. What is your biggest regret about West Point? I took it too seriously – should have had more fun
20. What was your biggest achievement after West Point? 18 years of marriage to the same woman and 4 great kids
21. How’s the cow? She walks she talks….. we say this every night at dinner.
22. Do you recommend West Point to kids? YES What about your own kids? YES – our oldest daughter wants to attend in the near future
23. Did you marry your West Point girlfriend? no
24. Have you run the indoor obstacle course since graduating? Hell no – I still cough up parts of the old cadet gym now and then
25. Do you get lost when you drive at West Point now? NO
26. Are you still on active duty? NO
27. What is the highest rank you attained? LTC
28. What is your branch? EN
29. Have you been deployed? YES If so, where, with which unit, for how long? JTF-Bravo – 6 months
30. Have you shot someone in battle? NO
31. Have you ever given the youngest grad speech? NO
32. Do you regularly attend Founders’ Day dinners? NO
33. Have you been to the Army Navy game? Yes
34. Did you switch Services? NO
35. Do you still speak the foreign language you learned Yearling year? I couldn’t speak it then, what makes you think I can speak it now?
36. Do you remember your Sosh paper thesis? YES – something about the similarities/differences between the Sandinistas and boy scouts
37. Do you use Calculus EVER outside of the classroom? YES
38. Do you use a calculator for anything except paying bills? NO
39. Have you ever lost your class ring? NO
40. Do you wear your class ring? Yes, I do now – I didn’t wear it on active duty
41. How long is your hair? About the same as my cadet hair
42. Do you have all your teeth? YES
43. Have you had a heart attack or cancer? NO
44. Can you pass a PT test? YES When did you last take a PT test? 18 months ago
45. Can you still fit in your WP uniforms? NO
46. Have you ever tried to explain your first rally to a non-grad? YES
47. When is the last time you had a snow ball fight? 2 years ago with my kids
48. Do you keep in touch with your WP roommates? NO
49. Can you still do a long “Rocket”? What about a short “Rocket”? there’s a difference?

FieldTurf Installation Begins At Michie Stadium
 As the calendar begins to move toward the beginning of football season, the renovations at West Point's Michie Stadium are pushing ahead. The old artificial surface has been removed and the base for the new FieldTurf has been installed.

Jake Mentele Finishes 23rd In Olympic Trials 200m Breaststroke
 After a controversial disqualification in the 100 breaststroke trials on Monday, Mentele bounced back by dropping over two seconds off his personal best 200 breaststroke time. Seeded 40th entering the meet with a 2:19.24, he touched the wall in 2:17.20 on Wednesday to cap a standout swimming career.

Fourteen Track & Field Athletes Earn Academic Honors
 Fourteen members of Army men's and women's track and field team were among the student-athletes named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll for the spring semester in Wednesday's announcement by the conference office. Seven men and seven women earned accolades with Kevin Kumlien, Michael Simmons and Caroline Taft writing the headlines for their respective sports.

Thirteen Black Knights Earn Academic Honor Roll Recognition
 A total of 13 men and women earned Patriot League Swimming and Diving Academic Honor Roll status for their performance during the spring semester, as announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon. Seven men and six women were honored, led by freshman Will Blickle and junior Zach McLain on the men's side and freshman Sarah White for the women.

Army Places Six On Patriot League Academic Honor Roll
 Six Army women's basketball players were recently named to the 2008 Patriot League Women's Basketball Academic Honor Roll, released by the conference on Monday afternoon. Senior captain Anna Wilson, one of four seniors that graduated in May, posted the top grade-point average on the team with a 3.64 mark for the spring semester in her first career appearance on the selective list.
