In case you read the Army Headline News about Cadet Matt Bell receiving the Roosma Award for basketball, that was me up there on stage presenting it. My family established the award after my grandfather (John S. Roosma, '26) passed away in Nov 1983. He was admitted to the basketball Hall of Fame for being the first college player to score over 1000 points in his career. Too bad I didn't get his height ;-)

Now in its fourth season, a cooperative effort between ESPN and the Department of the Army will provide a video stream of ESPN's telecasts of Army's six home football games this fall.

    The Army men's cross country team was picked to finish third in the Patriot League, receiving two first-place votes, in the 2008 preseason coaches' poll released on Friday.  The women's squad was picked to finish fourth in the conference.
