Russell O. Vernon joined Commerce Capital Markets, Inc., as senior VP and
CEO in mid-November 2006 and will be responsible for the overall growth and
management of the company's fixed income, asset management and wealth
management units. A retired colonel of the New York Army National Guard and
former commander of the 1st Battalion, 69th Infantry, he has earned an MBA
from Columbia and a Master of Strategic Studies from the Army War College.
