Both the Army men's and women's cross country teams were dominant in the Army Open, taking the top-13 and top-10 positions, respectively, on Friday in Bowdoin Park in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Sophomore Alexis Torre, senior Josh Weidner, senior Andrew Catalano and junior Kirk Chitwood crossed the line together to lead the men's race, while junior Ashley Morgan won the women's event.
With the departure of 10 seniors from last year's squad that posted the program's best record in 11 years, seventh year head coach Kurt Swanbeck will count on a host of new faces to mesh with his core group of returners to lead the Black Knights this year.
Friday night's Temple at Army football game will be streamed live on the internet via the Army Knowledge Online (AKO) web site as the Black Knights kick off their 119th season at illustrious Michie Stadium. Now in its fourth season, a cooperative effort between ESPN and the Department of the Army will provide a video stream of ESPN's telecasts of Army's six home football games this fall.
