The Army volleyball team notched a 3-0 win over Fairfield in the first of two Saturday matches at the Temple Tournament at McGonigle Hall. Seniors Elizabeth Lazzari (12 kills) and Briana Stremick (10 kills) provided more than half of Army's offense, as the Black Knights improved to 5-0 on the year.

Saturday afternoon's New Hampshire at Army football game will be streamed live on the internet via the Army Knowledge Online (AKO) web site as the Black Knights play their second home game this season. Now in its fourth season, a cooperative effort between ESPN and the Department of the Army will provide a video stream of ESPN's telecasts of Army's six home football games this fall.

Due to the heavy rainfall and high winds expected at West Point on Saturday because of the effects of Hurricane Hanna, activities along Black Knights Alley prior to Army's football with New Hampshire have been cancelled with the exception of the New York Giants autograph session.

Freshman Deanna Clegg scored six minutes into the second half, and classmate  Monica Lee pulled up with a pair of key saves as Army made that stand in a 1-0 defeat of Missouri State in the opening round of the 11th annual Toys for Tots/Military Academies Classic hosted by Saint Louis Friday evening at Hermann Stadium.
