Rabble!

To help enhance our reunion experience this September, and  raise a few farthings for our Class Gift Fund, Joe Fowler has volunteered to  arrange a class reunion raffle. Joe's message to classmates to generate  excitement and enthusiasm and to solicit assistance in organizing the effort follows:

"As  we gather with great friends at our 35th Year Reunion, we'll also be reuniting  with the Long Gray Line and announcing our collective decision on our class  gift. As a way to raise funds for the gift and have some fun during the  Reunion, we'll be conducting a raffle at the Friday night dinner-dance. I've volunteered to run the raffle, but we need you to volunteer prizes (and  later buy tickets) for the raffle. If you have some prime West Point memorabilia or can suggest an item that you would really like to win, please  consider donating them to the cause. Some examples from previous classes  are hand made quilts and paintings. Other possibilities, depending on  whom you work for, are trips, weekend stays at a resort or big city or merchandise. Use your imagination. We already have in the prize pool a bottle of vintage brandy - a 1968 Bas Armagnac. Yes, it was a very good  year.

Once we have an idea of the raffle booty, we'll announce it to the  class and decide how best to conduct the raffle so as to make it enjoyable, profitable for the gift fund, but not intrusive upon our fun at the Reunion.
