Dear USMA '68 Classmates,
Great news! We've arranged an easy, painless way for everyone in the class to help support the fund-raising effort for our Class Gift to West Point ~ The Class of 1968 Rotunda in the new USMA Library Thomas Jefferson Hall. Easy and painless? Yes, but there is a small task - - a few easy sign-up steps - - that each of us must take in order to participate. But hey, let's all remember that there is No Task Too Great for '68.
First the Painless Part: Our Class Fund has been registered (at no cost to the Class) with Consumer First. Consumer First is an organization that will generate a monetary rebate to you whenever you use your existing Visa or MasterCard at participating merchants. In addition, Consumer First will provide a payment to the Class Gift Fund as well whenever you use your card with participating merchants once your card is registered with Consumer First. So, you personally will get money back from Consumer First when you shop - - even better than painless - - AND money will be paid into our Class Gift Fund coffers whenever you use your credit card while shopping with participating merchants.
Now the Easy Part: To sign up, simply go to the Consumer First web site
<<<http://www.consumer1st.com/239675>www.consumer1st.com/239675>> and register up to four (4) of your existing Visa or Master Cards for free. It doesn't matter what benefits you currently get from your cards (mileage, points, cash back to another organization, etc). You will continue to receive those benefits; PLUS now you will get cash back AND your purchases will generate money for the Class Gift Fund. Once you've clicked to the site indicated above, just follow the nearly idiot-proof instructions to register your credit cards. You will asked for some personal and credit card information to complete the registration process, and then you'll be prompted to create your personal user ID and password. Once the process is complete, you may enter the secure Consumer First web site whenever you wish, sign in, and go shopping - - and every time you make a purchase, you will get a rebate and the Class Gift Fund will receive another contribution. There are hundreds of big name merchants on-line including Delta Airlines, Target, K-mart, Dell, Barnes and Noble, and many more. In addition to on-line shopping, you can receive the rebate and the Class Gift Fund will receive a contribution when you use your card at local participating merchants.
So, that's it!. Viola! Easy and Painless! Just like I promised! Imagine that - - an easy and painless procedure - - from a classmate who became a dentist!
Seriously, while this effort alone won't raise all the money the Class will need to deliver our Class Gift, it can provide another way for all of us to help raise money for that effort. And it all adds up! By registering your cards and using them to shop at participating merchants for items you will purchase anyhow, you can help make the Class of 1968 Rotunda a reality. Please take a minute to register your cards now.
No Task Too Great!
