Ok Rabble,

We’ve put this off for as long as we reasonably can, but with only six months to go until our 40th reunion, it’s time for us to make commitments and lock in services and facilities - - and that will require working capital - - hence this solicitation for “earnest money”.

If you’re planning to attend our 40th, please make the appropriate remission indicated below.

For each Member of the Class of 1968, Associate Member of the Class of 1968 and Friend of the Class of 1968:  $168.00

AND

For each  family member or friend who will be attending: an additional $68.00

Cute, eh?  But appropriate and prudent.  The mathematically derived number was so close we couldn’t resist . . . and market volatility suggests the need to build in a bit of buffer.

Using the worksheet below, please tally up the amount of “earnest money” due for your party and send the appropriate payment as soon as possible, but NLT April 15th.  You may use your major credit card at https://secure.west-point.org/usma1968/reuniondeposit/ or you may send your check, payable to the “West Point Fund” and annotated “Class of 1968 Admin Fund”, to D. David Hostler, 98 Chestnut Hill Road, Ridgefield, CT 06877.  IF you choose to send a check, please include a note with the following information:  Your name, your guests' names and relationship to you, your snail mail address, your home and cell phone numbers and your email address.  Please don’t delay.

Details regarding the reunion, including sign-up opportunities for specific reunion events (which will entail separate additional fees beyond the “earnest money”) will be forthcoming over the following weeks and months as particulars are decided and arrangements are concluded.  Advance ordering opportunities for reunion memorabilia will also be disseminated, and, of course, these purchases, too, will entail separate payments.

To minimize overall costs, we plan to communicate regarding the reunion via email, SO WHEN YOU RECEIVE EMAIL CONCERNING THE 40th REUNION, PLEASE DO NOT DELETE BEFORE READING, and please  respond when with dispatch - - when responses are requested.

No Task Too Great!
The 40th Reunion Committee
