USMA 1968                             Reunion - 2008

Rabble!

For those who forgot to wind their watches, it’s more than half-past April.  If you haven’t made your “earnest money” payment yet and you plan to attend our 40th reunion - - you’re late!  Don’t make us come looking for you.

You can make your “earnest money” payment online at
<
https://secure.west-point.org/usma1968/reuniondeposit/> - - but
please do it now, or send your check to us at 98 Chestnut Hill Road,
Ridgefield, CT 06877-1224.

As a reminder to assist your travel planning, here’s the general agenda for the reunion:
Thursday: Golf outing (or possible alternative visit to tour new USMA facilities for those inclined to do so), followed by Thursday evening “Welcome Party”.

Friday: Bus excursion to West Point for Memorial Service at the Cadet Chapel, Dedication of the Class of 1968 Rotunda and unveiling of Thomas Jefferson sculpture, lunch at Eisenhower Hall, Academy Senior Leader Welcome and Briefing, return to Westchester Marriott Hotel for Gala Dinner.

Saturday: Class Business Meeting, bus excursion to West Point for Cadet Parade, Pre-game Lunch in the Cadet Mess Hall, Army v New Hampshire Football Game (or alternative activity), return to Westchester Marriott Hotel for informal buffet dinner.

Sunday: Prayer Breakfast and Departure Brunch.

Details will follow with sign-ups for events.  Some events will be “free”; some will require payment of an additional fee.  The fees for “paid events” have yet to be determined, pending discussions and decisions on menus, venues and amenities with caterers at the hotel and at West Point. Look for the sign-up message for specific reunion events to be distributed sometime this summer.

Look for a separate flyer regarding block seating for football tickets in May.  Attendees will be purchasing football tickets directly from the Army ticket office, but they will arrange block seating for our reunion group.  The football flyer will provide instructions for ordering tickets in our reserved block seating section.

Also look for a separate online catalog of reunion memorabilia items available for advance order and delivery on arrival at the reunion.  The email forwarding this information should be distributed sometime in May or June.

If you have questions regarding the reunion, feel free to contact Megan or me by email at dhostler4@comcast.net or by telephone at (203) 894-9248.

No Task Too Great!
