The Army Historical Foundation is raising funds for the National Museum of the

U.S. Army to be built at Ft.Belvoir. Here is the mission statement for the

Ntational Museum:

The purpose of the Army Historical Foundation is to establish, assist, and promote

programs and projects whic preserve the history of the American Soldier and

promote public undestanding and appreciation of the contributions by all

components of the U.S. Army and its members to the American Nation.

The Museum also maintains the Registry of the Americn Soldier as part of

the museum.
