Faulkner at West Point, April 1962 PDF Print E-mail

The spring of 1962 was an interesting time for our Class.  We heard William Faulkner read to three different cadet audiences,,  heard General MacArthur give what might be the greatest speech ever given by a military officer, and listened to the young John F. Kennedy give an inspiring graduation message”.  This was heady stuff for us young cadets to receive forty-five years ago.  On this site over time we will revisit these events, perhaps sparking memories of what you were thinking and feeling if and when you attended these events.
