We have formed a "virtual team" to work on the USMA64 Class Site and special interest sites such as Golf64.
Curt Davis (in sunny California), Al Russo (in sunny Florida) and Dick Puckett (in freezing, ice-covered Virginia) meet on line to discuss and find ways to improve the site.

Skiing conditions have remained great here in Aspen. Yesterday, a number of our skiers took on Ajax and came back with some stories of the challenges they encountered. If you ever wondered where old musicians go, we found one here on the slopes at Snowmass. A former member of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band was performing at a small resturant mid mountain. He had been part of the group of musicans who put together the rather famous "Will the Circle be Unbroken" album and, at our request, sang a version of it that combined the Circle story with other songs. He was almost as good as Bob Balderson.
Last night the group went to a local hangout named Su Casa and carried on a ski group tradition that had been started by Steve Perryman. As the legend goes, on the first trip here to Aspen, the small group of class skiers joined with a few non-grad invitees and were in the early stages of group development. You know, that period where individuals are "feeling out" one another and conversation is still rather stiff. It seems that Steve asked the waiter to "get me a margarita ... and one for everyone in the group!" Thusly the fun began with pool shooting and margaritas, an ice-breaking combination..
Some of the group took snowshoe hikes up in the mountains. Others ventured out into the local shops and returned shell-shocked. Those ain't K-Mart prices out there.
We are looking for another glorous day out there on the slopes. Temperatures will remain in the mid 40's, sorry Chicago and the east coast. You should have come along on this ski trip and avoided the bad weather!
The Class Ski group is all here, safe and sound, and have already hit the slopes for two full days. The flight in was kind of interesting, the small United jet made a tight turn, dropped down between two high mountains, and landed with a slight thump. It ran down the runway past a number of small jet and prop aircraft which were for the most part unmarked, indicating this is a resort for the rich and famous. Of course our group added to the famous part and, who knows, may be even the "a little rich" part.
Which ever of the two Bobs (Magruder or Michela) ordered up the weather needs to be commended; it is ski picture perfect, mostly sunny with temperatures during the day hovering in the 40s. So far skiing has been great. Marge Jackman took a long hike into the outback and returned safely. In fact, we heard some blasting on nearby mountains, efforts to eliminate avalances. A few days ago a member of the ski patrol was caught in an avalance in the back area and perished. But we are all smart enough to avoid such danges.
Cliff's wine tasting party was last night and was a great success. His choices of wines was excellent, particularly the La Tour Pinot Noir. An ad hoc gathering of people of Polish background spontaneously appeared.,
In sum, great weather, great skiing, great fun.
