2005
21 MAY: Annual A-1 & Friends "Pot Luck" Picnic at the Walshes in Boonsboro, MD.
Invitation will be sent at end of April.

JUNE: Initiate dialogue via E-mail on nominees for the Distinguished
Graduate Award and the Thayer Award. Class Committee should make decision on
same NLT August so nomination packets can be prepared and submitted by the
November deadline.

27 JUNE: "R" Day & Swearing In Ceremony for the Class of 2009. Open house
sponsored by the Class of 1959 to host the parents, other family members, and
friends of the Class of 2009 at Herbert Hall 0900 to 1300 hours. This will be
followed by witnessing the administration of the Oath to the Class of 2009 at
Trophy Point at 1700 hours. More information will be provided by Jim Walsh in
May. We are looking for a volunteer to help plan and organize this activity.
8-9 AUGUST: Grad March Back. The Class of 2009 will be marching back from Lake
Frederick. We have a number of members from 1959 who will join them in this
march. More information will be sent by Jim Satterwhite.

19 SEPTEMBER: Third Annual 'Rocky' Versace Memorial Golf Tournament. The
tournament will be played at Andrews AFB on Monday at 2PM. Additional
information will be provided starting in July.

SEPT - OCTOBER? Marlene & Fred Malek have graciously agreed to host our annual
class fall gathering in the DC area. Exact dates and additional information

Feb: 6th Annual Mini-Ski Reunion: Class Mini-ski reunion. Exact dates and
additional information will be provided as developed.

15 March: Deadline for submission of applications for Class of 1959
Scholarship, awarded to a child of a member of the class, who is a junior,
senior, or post-graduate student enrolled in an accredited four-year college or

23 APRIL: Annual Memorial Ceremony at the Wall and Annual General Membership
Meeting. Class mates will meet at the Vietnam Memorial in Washington, DC for a
ceremony honoring Ronald T.Shelton, CO L-1. This will be following by a
Brunch/Lunch General Membership meeting at the Fort Myer Officers Club.
