Classmates,The Handover for the First Class Club
(FCC) will take place on Thursday, August 15. This is when
we formally pass responsibility for the Club to the new First Class.
If past practice is followed, this evening will be the first time that
the class of 2014 will be able to use the FCC. It will take place in the
middle of Reorgy week, a week that culminates with the Acceptance Parade on
Saturday when the Plebes are formally accepted into the Corps.
Generally, the new Firsties turn out en masse for the event, usually
numbering a couple of hundred, including the class leadership, i.e., First
Captain and staff, class president, etc. It's a good opportunity to interact
with cadets over a couple of beers. Over the years, a few classmates and
spouses have attended and enjoyed the event.
The event takes place
around 2100 hours. Please let me know if you would like to attend.
