| Final Toast |
| In 2013 the EXCOM approved a proposal to
have a final toast to the Class of 1958 at its last official gathering.
We were inspired by such a toast of the Doolittle Raiders of World War
II. If possible the Toast will occur in the First Class Club at West
Point on 4 June 2033. As many of our living Classmates as possible, at
least two of them, will be assembled, perhaps joined electronically by
others who are still alive. We have purchased a bottle of Vintage 1958
Armagnac as the libation for the Toast. We may need some help to prepare and administer the Final Toast, so three of our grandchildren who graduated have agreed to assist. We have also drafted the words of a Proclamation to proceed the Toast. Incidental expenses, such as glasses or memorial programs, can be covered by any remaining Administrative Fund assets. |
