From 1904 Howitzer, front page
This print was the first color page to appear in a Howitzer and was featured in a 1996 Assembly series of articles about the Howitzer. It shows a cadet officer in 50-50 full dress uniform standing at parade rest as prescribed by the "squads east and west" manual -- sword held in front at an angle to the ground, right foot one step to the rear. The burgundy sash adds color to this simple elegant print.
