The words of Bill Crum set the scene:

"At the Army-TCU game on October 15th, our class was represented in the half-time ceremonies by Bill Crum, Dave Palmer, Bill Roll, and Jack Woodmansee. Of interest, Crum (Air Force) and Roll (Army) had not seen each other since 1965 when they were traveling to South Vietnam on the USNS Geiger having embarked from Savannah, Georgia with the First Air Cavalry Division. Roll was the S-3 of the 1/12 Battalion and Crum was the Forward Air Controller attached to the 1/12. Believe it or not, Roll had changed little. Crum had pulled too many "G's" in his fighters and showed the wear. Crum, Palmer, Roll and Woodmansee, along with other Army and TCU graduates were recognized at half-time for their service in South East Asia in a touching ceremony.
As [we] remember, Army played tough all the way, The fumble at the end of the 3rd Q or beginning of the 4th Q hurt. But we hung in. And a eulogy for Fisher DeBerry (recently reprimanded). "Tell it like it is" ( and get your a__ kicked for telling the truth).    Crum ran into Matt Quinn after the game and are shown in the last picture.
