The USMA Class of 1955 conducted a business meeting at the Park Ridge Marriott, Park Ridge, NJ in conjunction with its 60th Reunion. Charlie Johnson, President, convened the meeting at 1707 EDT, 18 May 2015.

Charlie stated that a principal purpose of the meeting was to conduct voting for new EXCOM members to serve from 30 days after this business meeting (as established by the class constitution) through the 65th reunion and 30 days beyond. 102 classmates had already voted via email or snail mail. Among reunion attendees, there were 31 additional classmates who had not yet voted. Charlie urged that any of those attending the business meeting strongly consider voting. He made ballots available. Shortly, completed ballots were collected. Don Andrews (Secretary) and Jim Ryan (Scribe) counted those ballots. Ten attendees had voted; all in favor of classmates proposed by the Nominating Committee and supported by the EXCOM. The final total was 112 in favor of all classmates (with positions to be held) recommended by the Nominating Committee and EXCOM; none of those voting were opposed or were in favor of other persons.

Jim Bergen, Treasurer, gave a report on the status of class funds. Except as noted, funds are controlled by AOG but dispersed at the request of the class. The class has full control of the last two funds.

Class Fund  $
 AOG Memorial Pages Fund     27,600
 Class Memorial Fund     57,871
 Caring Fund      5,292
 '55 Memorial Terrace Fund     74,159
Class of '55 Gift Fund (controlled by the class)     98,671
 Administrative Fund (working fund)     20,419
 Total   284,012

Matt Schepps gave a briefing on the class cruise scheduled for 25-29 April 2016. He recommended classmates not already planning to go, see the class web site for information. Final payment is not due until 1 February 2016.

Charlie Johnson asked those classmates elected to the new EXCOM to stand. He thanked Pete Fikaris, Nominating Committee Chair, and his Committee members. Tom Horst, newly elected President, briefly spoke.

Don Hilbert commented that this year is the 50th anniversary of the war in Vietnam. Congress wishes to thank those who served . Its Commemorative Committee has gone nationwide seeking "partners" of which there are now 8,000. A lapel pin has been approved. All who served in Vietnam are authorized to wear it. There is a search for more commemorative partners.

Todd Graham and Rich Cardillo collaborated to produce a beautiful memento to be given to each reunion attendee. Todd painted a picture with a view from an elevated position south of West Point. It features a view of West Point, the Hudson River, Constitution Island, Storm King Mountain and other terrain north of West Point. Rich expertly matted the picture. Copies were then made and inscribed with each recipient's class standing among our 470.

There being no further announcements or business to conduct, the meeting adjourned at 1752 EDT.

Respectfully Submitted,

Don Andrews
