Subject: Report on death of ROBERT D McKELVEY
Date sent: Mon, (18 MAY 2009) 08:51:23,0400

Carl, as part of the roster update project, I tried to call Bob McKelvey Saturday. I talked to his wife Ester who informed me Bob ("Mac" as we called him) had passed away in Janurary. I was shocked (as I had no record of his death, and I believe it was unknown to the class), so I apologized for having called her "out of the blue" and gave her our condolences on behalf of the class.

Today, I had a friendly chat with Mrs. McKelvey who informed me Bob died of cancer of the lung which apparently had metasthesized from a bout of colon cancer sometime earlier.

DATE OF DEATH: (JAN 11, 2009)
PLACE: Glasgow, KY
AGE: 77 years

No obituary was published because the McKelvey's had moved only recently (June 2007) to Kentucky after having spent 30 years in California.

There is a son MICHAEL V. McKELVEY who is a graduate of the USAF Academy, is retired from the Air Force, and lives in Yorktown, VA.
