I got to know Hank well during 1964) (1967) when we both were assigned at Edwards Air Force Base CA. Hank was an Aeronautical Engineer with the Air Force and I was a Test Pilot with the Army. Hank loved the T-28D that we used for Chase on the Army side.

Hank was going to the Air Force Helicopter School in North Texas over Thanksgiving and needed a lift to Edwards. I flew out in the T-28D and picked him up. On the 3+ hour flight back, Hank was like a kid with a new toy. He really loved the T-28 and had a ball.

Maybe Hank and I will again be together in our T-28, I sure hope so.

Rest well Hank, be at peace.

Hank:

First impressions are important, and my first impressions of Beast Barracks included you as my roommate. If memory serves, you were the first Californian I had met. You were a great roommate and tried your best to keep us on the right path. G-d bless.
