Ralph La Verne Henry was born on 7 January 1931 in Norman, Oklahoma. He was admitted to West Point from the Regular Air Force on 3 July 1951. He was in Company C2 and a Cadet Lieutenant and platoon leader his first class year. He graduated on 7 June 1955 and had a disability disc upon graduation.
