Hello Col. Jack Campbell,

My name is is Lori McCrillis Haase and I am the youngest daughter of Lt. Col. Walter and Nancy McCrillis. Harold Hoeferkamp directed me to your email address to inform the West Point Class of 1955 that their classmate Walter McCrillis' wife Nancy McCrillis of 59 years went to her heavenly home July 24th, 2014. My mother's Memorial service will be September 14th at 1 o'clock p.m. and held at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Joplin, Missouri.

I do ask that my father, Walter McCrillis be placed on the 1955 West Point class prayer request list. He has Alzheimer's and is residing at Spring River Christian Village in Joplin, Missouri where my parents were living. Dad doesn't seem to remember that mom passed away and is constantly asking and looking for her. My sister Polly and I know he is in a safe and loving environment but it is still so difficult to see our father, this amazing man being ravaged by such an awful disease.

Anyway, Harold Hoeferkamp told me that you would let my father's West Point class know of my mom's death. I would sincerely appreciate that. My parents have always loved West Point and my dad's classmates as well. I know I have been so proud of my father that he was a graduate at West Point. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed attending the 50th class reunion with my parents at West Point in 2005. What wonderful memories I have with them.

My mother's obituary is in the Joplin Globe under www.joplinglobe.org under obituary archives July 24, 2014. Please share any or all this information with dad's classmates. You may contact me at lhaase52@att.net, or

Lori Haase
10342 Parkview Avenue
Kansas City, KS. 66109

If cards or notes are sent to dad please have them sent to me at my home address above and I promise he will have them read to him.

Thank you for listening and enduring my lengthy email. The Lord be with you,

Lori Haase
