Jerome Douglas Hawkins

Jerome Douglas Hawkins was born on 10 June 1930 in Maple Lake, Minnesota and was appointed to West Point from the National Guard Organized Reserve Corps. He entered on 3 July 1951. He was in Company K 1, graduated on 7 June 1955 and was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Air Force.

Wichita Falls, Texas

Jerome Douglas "Jerry" Hawkins was born on June 10, 1930 in Maple Lake, Minnesota and passed away on Friday, January 20, 2017.

Jerry was a resident of Wichita Falls, Texas at the time of his passing.

He graduated from Maple Lake High School in 1948 and enlisted in the US Army. He entered the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1951 and was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Air Force on graduation in 1955.

He earned an MA in math at Washington State University and served as an Assistant Professor in the Mathematics Department at the US Air Force Academy in 1967.

He retired from the Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1975.

A Rosary will be held on Thursday January 26 at 6:30 p.m. at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday January 27 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church.

In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Meals on Wheels and Our Lady Queen of Peace Building Fund:
